On Albrecht-Kossel-Institute for Brain Regeneration (Akos) of the Medical Faculty of the University of Rostock (Director: Prof. Dr. Arndt Rolfs) is now the position of a

to occupy indefinitely.
Its remit includes the medical care of patients with neurogenic disorders, particularly neurological metabolic disorders and their consequences for neurodegenerative processes as well as the responsible participation of ongoing neurogenetic research projects.
Setting conditions are very good clinical experience in the differential diagnosis of rare diseases and broad scientific interest, mainly in the theme of neurodegenerative diseases and their genetic bases.
Akos is particularly concerned with neuro-genetic problems of rare metabolic disorders (eg www.sifap.eu) and in the international management of patients with such diseases active (Rolfs et al, Lancet 2005; NEJM 2009) and in stem cell-biological problems (www. Albrecht-Kossel-institut.de). The Institute offers an attractive research environment in an excellent laboratory facilities and meets all the requirements for scientifically and clinically active candidates.
