The Software Developer aids in the analysis, design and development of software-based systems and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of internal business customers.
• Works at the direction of the Manager, Software Development.
• Analyzes, designs and develops software-based solutions meeting business needs.
• Supports existing software-based technical solutions.
• Handles complex application features and technical designs.
• Handles multiple development projects concurrently.
Requirements:
• Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• 2-4 years experience in Microsoft ASP/ASP.Net development.
• 2-3 years experience in Microsoft .Net C# development.
• 2-4 years experience in Microsoft SQL 2000/2005.2008 development.
• 2-4 years experience in data-centric application development.
• 2-4 years experience OLTP development.
• Excellent understanding of and experience with the following application capabilities/properties:
o Multi-user applications
o Data-centric applications
o Real-time, Transaction Processing
o Financial Transaction Processing
o Mission-Critical Systems
o Services
o Batch Processing
o User Experience technologies and approaches
• Proven software development experience in the field or related area.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong skills in and knowledge of software development lifecycle process and application design.
• Strong analytical skills for understanding both business and technical problems.
• Business Payments and/or Financial Services domain experience a plus.

Description
· Performs General Administration Tasks on SQL Servers.
· Ensures Backups and Maintenance Occur Regularly and Reliably.
· Troubleshoots Production Issues on SQL Server Systems.
· Promotes DDL Changes to QA and Production.
· Installs and Configures SQL Server Instances.
· Rotates On-Call Duties with Other DBAs.
· Provides Disaster Recovery Support within Existing Infrastructure.
· Oversees SQL Server Security.
· Reviews and Analyzes Monitoring Data to Prevent Problems before they happen.
Required
· Bachelors in Computer Science/Information Technology – or Equivalent Work Experience.
· At Least Five (5) to Seven (7) Years Experience in MS SQL Server.
· Strong T-SQL Skills.
· Experience with SSDS, SSAS, SSRS and SSIS.
· Demonstrated Competence in Replication and Clustering.
· Keen Problem-Solving Abilities.
· Familiarity with Standard Change Control Procedures.
· Clear Understanding of Database Design, Referential Integrity, and Application-Development Life Cycle.
· Experience in Supporting Mission-Critical Database Systems.
· Strong Communication Abilities.
· Good Interpersonal Skills that Foster Coordination and Collaboration across Teams.
Preferred
· Experience with Other Relational Databases (Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.)
· Application Development Experience (especially, VB.NET or C#)
· Demonstrated Competence in Database Mirroring
