Regional Marketing Manager, Germany/Austria/Switzerland, Google Apps - Zurich


This position is based in Munich, Germany or Zurich, Switzerland.

The area: Marketing

The Google Marketing team is responsible for marketing the company's exceptional product portfolio to end users, partners and customers on a worldwide basis. The role: Regional Marketing Manager, Germany/Austria/Switzerland, Google Apps

As Regional Marketing Manager Google Apps, you will help shape how Google promotes its new technology products to businesses. You will be a marketing programmes managers who has experience crafting and executing both online and off-line demand generation programmes. You will help to define innovative ways to educate IT decision makers and buyers about Google's Enterprise products in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
You will work with the Enterprise sales leadership team to understand lead generation requirements on a quarterly basis and develop a marketing plan, promotion calendar and campaign mix for the region. Through those programmes, you will both attract new Google customers and engage with existing customers and partners. You will test new marketing programmes, including new Google advertising options, and adjust your tactics based on campaign effectiveness. Responsibilities:

  • Own fully marketing strategy and campaign execution across the region
  • Plan demand generation including promotion calendar and campaign mix
  • Manage and execute programmes including campaign performance tracking
  • Plan and run awareness initiatives as well as develop creative assets and tools
  • Manage a regional team of marketing professionals and telemarketing resources

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in related field with strong academic record preferred (MBA a plus)
  • Experience and proven track record in planning and executing multiple, complex marketing programmes with experience managing large marketing budgets
  • Strong project management skills and experience, including managing external creative agencies, events vendors, and international projects
  • Broad knowledge of IT systems; including SaaS, enterprise search and geospatial products
  • Familiarity with website analytics, Salesforce.com (or similar) and tracking tools to assess campaign effectiveness
  • A self starter who is willing to operate at highly strategic as well as very tactical levels given the start-up nature of the Enterprise business
  • Fluent in English and German
