JOB DESCRIPTION:
-Responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and trouble shooting PVA audio-visual and IT equipment. Responsible for booking all audio-visual equipment to PVA faculty, staff and students. Responsible for videotaping department events within the university. This includes; music concerts, plays, classes and workshops. In coordination with the multi-media supervisor, help develop short and long term schedules for equipment upgrades and replacement. Supervises PVA computer labs including instructional and administrative applications and platforms. Provides help to users during general lab use. Reviews and provides recommendations on hardware and software purchases. Responsible for physical arrangement of laboratory space and inventory. Coordinates hardware, software and cable installations. Assists faculty and staff in developing specialized training materials, special classroom and lab workshops for students, faculty and staff in electronic and remote communications. Provides technical assistance to faculty and staff in host/client software programs. Maintains liaison with faculty and staff regarding software and hardware changes and implementation strategies. Responsible for the maintenance of gallery hardware and stock. Responsible for the installation and de-installation of exhibitions
-Qualifications University degree in computer science, information systems or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Minimum two years experience in application support.
