JOB DESCRIPTION:
-Oversee design of new and redesigned components, to improve quality, function, performance and reliability while maintaining cost, manufacturability. Design, develop and test the function or system for the new product. Provide design specifications to lead and coordinate supplier development programs and test qualifications, including: mechanical attributes, electrical components and software Coordinate and support efforts required through the Model Shop, Test & Evaluation Lab, Reliability testing, and other wet & cold line departments / groups. Assist in the development and approval of test and quality plans for designed components and assemblies. Analyse and approve test results to ensure they meet the requirements of the manufacturing processes and assembly. Plan Lab equipment according to planning department requirements. Placing equipment requirements and maintenance budget. Placing periodic equipment calibration plan. Prepare periodic lab equipment upgrade plans as required. Prepare skills enhancement schemes for lab technicians as required.
-Qualifications B.Sc. In mechanical Power Engineering. 0- 4 years of experience. Lab management software capabilities is a plus
