The EMEA Advertising Marketplaces Team drives our efforts across the organization to build the most efficient, profitable and frictionless marketplaces for Brand Display, Video, DR, Mobile and Search. The team leads all monetization work across EMEA, working hand in hand with our EMEA Sales, Partner and Product teams. The team also leads cross-organizational projects related to making it easier for customers to work with Yahoo!, Rightsourcing and other strategic EMEA regional and global priorities. It also provides our global Product Teams with an EMEA “home” for Ad Product Marketing and Management.
Our Brand Display business encompasses all the revenue coming from selling / delivering guaranteed display or video ad impressions (C1) – as well as revenue from selling high value customized solutions to top tier advertisers, developed within the framework of Yahoo! Studio or of our Custom Brand Experience team.
The following role is a critical member of our Brand Display organization.
Overview of the role
The Analyst, EMEA Brand Display Marketplace core role is:
· Be the day-to-day contact for Brand/Video ad products in the MENA region.
· Become an internal consultant and thought leader about our Brand Display/Video advertising portfolio and strategy, answering sales questions and supporting other departments in promoting our value proposition – with a particular focus on the MENA requests.
· Help assess and prioritize monetization requests across the organization
· Support the Senior Manager, EMEA Brand Display Marketplaces in scoping and implementing best in class display advertising products across EMEA, this requires:
a. A good understanding of the needs of brand display advertisers in the region.
b. The ability to gather competitive insights to understand market practices and trends
c. The ability to make go to market recommendations for improvements to existing ad products and ad formats or to put together requests for new advertising product development as part of Product Requirements Documents.
d. Identifying required changes in the specifications and sales policies of our ad formats and positions, working with the Ad Technology and Product organization.
e. Working closely with the Global Product team to follow the evolution of the products roadmap (Consumer Products and Advertising Products) for our region and assess its potential impact on monetization opportunities and revenue
f. Communicate changes to our portfolio of ad products and share best practice with local sales teams through regular updates.
Examples of concrete responsibilities
· Proactive intelligence work around market trends and competitors moves in the online brand & video advertising space (evolution of the ecosystem, advertisers and agencies needs, ad products, ad specs, ad effectiveness and reporting metrics…) in all EMEA markets – with a particular focus on the MENA region.
· Gather and communicate to Product Group EMEA monetization and ad products needs for future roadmaps and audience products,
· Coordinate ad products changes/launches with Sales and all operating teams, including official communication across the EMEA organization,
· Conducting bi-weekly meetings with MENA Sales leadership about ad products and monetization projects
· Work closely with Product Marketing Managers to refresh vertical packaging at pan European levels
The Executive, EMEA Brand Display Marketplace coordinates closely with:
- Sales (P&S, Sales Executives, Account Managers…)
- Advertising Marketplaces (NYM, Ad Tech, Ad Ops, etc.)
- Global Product Team (Audience and Advertising Products)
- B2B Trade Marketing & PR
- Partner Team (Business Development)

Given the many internal stakeholders per Marketplace and the fact that they do not all report into the Advertising Marketplaces division, the ability to incorporate feedback and get buy in on decisions is key.

· Commercial acumen: The candidate must understand and anticipate the needs of our brand/display clients and drive activities to help the local Yahoo! sales team win their deals.. .
· Sensibility to multi market specificities – this is a regional role, focused on tailoring the global/regional portfolio and strategies to optimally fit each local market conditions. A proven ability to understand and incorporate the uniqueness of each market to achieve the desired result is a must.

Qualifications:
· BA Degree from a leading university / school in country of studies
Languages
· Compulsory: Business Fluency in English
· Preferable: Arabic and one more major European language (French, German, Italian, Spanish)
Technical Knowledge

· Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
Desirable
· Basic understanding of standard and rich media technologies, ad booking, delivery and reporting systems
· CSS and HTML are a plus
