Automotive Maintenance Engineer Careers

  • Leads the vehicles’ workshop to meet high technical standards.

  • Implements and monitors cost efficient periodic and preventive maintenance programs according to OEM specs.
·         Maintains service and maintenance records of all vehicles.
  • Assigns work areas and tasks to technicians and ensures completion in specified timeframes.
  • Coordinating with the purchase department for spare parts and other repair equipment.
  • Ensuring the appropriate usage and handling of testing tools and repair equipments.
  • Submitting monthly data of performance parameters to management.
  • Creates and submits reports as necessary.
  • Examines reports for accuracy on each vehicle and piece of equipment repaired; writes reports on vehicles and equipment repaired.
·         Monitors operations with drivers’ chief by analysis of vehicle utilization.
·         Implements and maintains a mechanic training and certification program to provide needed technical skills for mechanics in vehicles repairs.
·         Enforces safety practices and procedures.
·         Supervises all Fleet Services employees; trains, evaluates and disciplines employees.
·         Assists in the development of the Area Fleet Services budget to include a review of past year expenses; adjusts and administers all Fleet Service purchases, including parts and shop tools.
·         Test driving vehicles to ensure that they are functioning appropriately.
  • Daily review of truck maintenance estimates.
  • Calculates estimate labor active hours.
  • Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Works under pressure.
  • Must be on 24 hour call.
  • Record workshop activities for best operation evaluation.

Job Description

1. Receive samples from customers and ensure they are well identified and in a proper sequence. 2. Respond to customers’ inquiries concerning testing progress and reporting. 3. Prepare and initially check material testing reports prior to their submission for approval by the Materials Department Manager. 4. Follow-up laboratory tests of various construction materials including soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, steel, tile, kerbstone ...etc. 5. Analyze test data and conduct corrective action to prevent non-conforming products. 6. Set materials testing schedules and supervise work performed by materials testing technicians. 7. Prepare and provide quotes and bids on materials testing and special inspection work. 8. Conduct materials testing and special inspection reports and communicate results to Department Manager, client, contractor and other relevant parties. 9. Ensure tests are carried out in accordance with relevant standard test methods and according to agreed customers’ requirements. 10. Conduct analysis as required after receiving tests results from technicians, and ensure it compliance with national and international standards. 11. Ensure all site equipments and instruments are fit for use by provision of necessary resources for the implementation of calibration and maintenance programs. 12. Ensure proper implementation of safety regulations and protection measures are taken in the lab. 13. Receive and inspect material samples delivered to the Laboratory. 14. Perform review of related orders and ensure all the required information is clear and available. 15. Log customer orders and identify incoming samples. 16. Ensure proper storage of received samples, maintain and record specified sample storage conditions, if any, curing and ambient temperature. 17. Prepare Sample Disposal Schedule on bi-weekly basis and in coordination with Cement Technicians and follow up sample disposal and maintain related records. 18. Ensure inventory supplies of materials.
