Description | 1. Provide direct support to the Transport Manager dealing with enquiries in his absence and general administrative support to the department. 2. Work in a well-organised manner to ensure records are maintained and income and expenditure managed effectively. 3. Where required process motor insurance claims to ensure repairs carried out to schedule and monies recovered from insurers. 4. Authorisation of drivers by maintaining record of licences. 5. Where required support the car hire service answering enquiries and sorting out invoice queries both for hires and accidental damage. 6. Assist with the vehicle maintenance operation by scheduling work and arranging the recharging of work. 7. Management of the fuel card system ensuring charges and recharges are made correctly. 8. In addition to the above mentioned tasks, other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined. 9. Maintain regular contact with all members of the FM team and supplier partners to ensure a consistent service is being provided. |
Qualifications | Experience and Qualifications • Extensive automotive & mechanical knowledge • Extensive knowledge of maintenance requirements and procedures • Ability to work effectively under stress and in emergencies and to prioritize work • Ability to establish effective working relationships and use good judgment Ability to speak, understand and write the English language. • Organized, honest and reliable • Knowledge of fleet management or a transport environment desirable. • Transport legislation knowledge. |
