Role Purpose
As the Sales Specialist for Scale Display you will own the strategy and direction to sales and trade marketing for revenue and delivery success of this offering within Western Europe, in particular:

- Execution to BG roadmap of Microsoft Advertising Exchange (MAX)
- Enabling Advance Data Targeting Capabilities (e.g. Experian)
- Optimising via Technology Partnerships where feasible (Ad Market)

The role will partner closely with and report to the Regional Solutions Sales Director to support the overall internal and external facing product planning, development, “go-to-market” cross-media proposition, and revenue budget attainment for display ad products across our Scale Display offering. Specific guidance should be provided to A&O Sales leadership and Trade Marketing leadership for accountable execution.

The Scale Display Sales Specialist will work with in market specialists, A&O in market and regional leads across all subs in WE, however there will be a heavy emphasis to drive success in Italy, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands and secondary focus to provide guidance for execution to Nordic Scale Display lead.

The role is anticipated to form strong partnerships particularly with our WW Scale Display BG teams, WE Media Sourcing Lead and WE Windows Live / MSN Product lead. On a WE level community of in- market specialists, Key AEs, Sales Managers, Monetization, and Trade Marketing teams will need to be developed to ensure there is a consistent approach and high level of expertise across the business for the Audience and Performance ad proposition and attach rates.

The opportunity will involve a close working relationship with the Media teams in market and at the WE level to ensure that the dynamics of volume and STR are aligned to demand generated in the programs environment for advertisers and enables us to achieve revenue target.

Support for strategically significant projects will also be co-owned and handled in conjunction with the newly appointed WE Brand Sales Specialist who will be your partner in securing total revenue attainment across WE.

The role will include some level of analysis and recommendations around broadening the Audience & Performance display portfolio. Knowledge of Supply/Demand side platforms is a strong focus in exploring new channels to monetize our audience base. Engagement at a senior level internally and within client/agency organizations is a must and the candidates must have a successful track record in this area.

The candidate should have a strong grasp of the broader digital landscape and trends as well as advertising and marketing across all media, be able to handle multiple projects, be extremely detail-oriented and able to take complete ownership of projects. Expertise and experience in published content is highly desirable.

Key Accountabilities
Own and create the MAX, Audience and Performance sales strategies, market approach, and packages that will maximize revenue from our key (MSN/WL/) products and Third Party procured media across WE.
Raise the industry profile of Scale Display (Audience, Performance, Exchange offerings and value to our customers through client outreach, pitch development with sales, speaking engagements, and roadshows
Manage relationships with virtual teams of Solution Specialists as well as other Business Group teams such as Windows Live, Trade Marketing, and MSN
Build strong engagement connection with our Corp BG teams.
Collaborate with product planning, product marketing, and development teams on product evolution and ad product requests (roadmap) providing consolidated feedback from local markets to central product marketing team
Share rest-of-world sales best practices with WE region
Spearhead concept development for new initiatives in conjunction with Redmond product groups, Business Development and WL, MSN Media team and local markets
Inform Trade Marketing research initiatives, value proposition and related GTM materials with product specifics, competitive information, positioning, etc
Monitor ongoing effectiveness of sales strategies and marketing materials
Analyse and communicate revenue and advertiser performance indicators tied into the MBR rhythm of the business plus identify areas for optimization
Create bespoke sponsorship opportunities and package existing product offerings
Support existing sales readiness programs and initiate Learning and Development programs around existing products
Ensure operational readiness with Display Media operations and Account Management teams

Budget and forecast attainment for WE Display revenue (WL/MSN/TP Ad Network)
Best Practice: Number of deals/revenue generated by shared opportunities/case studies or best practice

Growth and development of our Audience & Performance revenues in line with budget goals


Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1) Essential Experience
Previous project management experience and cross-team leadership a plus
Excellent analytical skills including data/trend analysis
Demonstrated success in managing large business planning and analysis efforts involving complex business problems
Strong sales skills to at major advertisers and agencies
Presentation creation using PowerPoint
Proven sales, or marketing and/or business planning
experience, or directly related team organization, or regional or market level leadership experience
Understanding of the digital landscape in Europe
Direct experience in campaign management/implementation a plus

2) Technical / Functional Skills
Strong statistical and financial analysis capabilities, including advanced MS Excel skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with the media landscape
Familiarity with rich media server technologies and partners
3) Personal Attributes / Interpersonal Skills
Ability to identify critical issues and drive for quick resolution
Ability to see big picture while effectively managing details
Ability to work alone or collaboratively as part of a team
Strong desire to lead big project plans from start to finish
4) Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; MBA and/or consulting experience to the industry a plus

Salary:- £70,000 to £85,000, plus excellent sales bonus, car allowance and stock / benefits package
