The Partner Strategy & Marketing Manager (PSMM) is a critical partner-marketing role within the Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partners Group (SMS&P). He/she leads and executes through/with partner-marketing planning, execution and investments aligned to SMSP priorities to drive revenue, share, scorecard and CPE.

The Partner Strategy & Marketing Manager reports into the Partner Strategy and Programs (PS&P) group; PSMMs are key to making real the Partner Group’s mission statement: “To make Microsoft the best business decision for partners; to make Partner the best business decision for Microsoft.”


The PSMM focuses on three core responsibilities:

1. . SMB Partners Recruit & Development
2. Owning and driving Through-Partner-Marketing Strategy and Planning
3. Driving Through-Partner Demand Generation and Execution
4. Driving Through-Partner Marketing Measurement and Return on Investment
Penetrate, recruit skill and activate multiple Partner segments at scale to build our overall Partner share and market support on the Windows Azure Platform. Continue momentum with Managed ISV’s and develop targeted Managed SI’s and VARs to build their Azure practices in partnership with the Recruit team. Work with existing unmanaged solution Partners to get them supporting the latest Microsoft platform stack and extending their offerings to the Windows Azure Platform. Recruit new Partners and on ramp them via Biz Spark and Platform Ready into building on the Windows Azure Platform. Drive broad awareness through web marketing, events, and contests to developers and decision makers in Breadth ISVs, Web VAPs, Custom Developers, and System Integrators.

Deep ecosystem insight, the competitor landscape and knowledge of partner business models and the Microsoft Partner Network;
Deep marketing insight and knowledge of Partner marketing engines and channel incentives;
High commercial acumen and drive for results;
Expertise in developing, managing and executing marketing campaigns that deliver outstanding return on investment;
Excellent collaborator in driving marketing leadership across partners, subsidiary field teams and Corp teams.

Key Business Partners are:
- Partner Account Managers (PAM), eg, Disti PAMs & VAR PAMs and Telesales Partner Account Managers (TPAM); ; Partner Territory Manager; Competitive Practice Recruiters
- Segment Marketing Teams: Enterprise Marketing Leads; SMB Customer Marketing Managers;
- MPN Marketing Manager; Partner Skills and Development Managers/teams
- Business Group Leads and Product Managers
- Developer and Platform Evangelists and Teams (for Developer Partners)

Qualifications
8+ years related experience
Bachelor’s Degree and or MBA
Requires strong experience and proven success in the following business areas:
Channel sales and development
Marketing
Strategy development and execution
