QA Assistant Manager is responsible for following up the day-to-day
site tasks with respect to QA/QC as well HSE activities for a specific
development. Monitors the performance of the contract, consultants and
contractors, to ensure the building and associated works are completed
to the specified quality, ensures that work is being performed in an HSE
acceptable environment, and participates in preparing monthly reports
accordingly. Reporting to the QA Sr. Manager - Construction, the primary
responsibilities of the QA/QC Assistant Manager - Construction includes
: - Review Construction Method Statements for each Contractor giving
workmanship related notes in line with project requirements. - Attending
Preparatory Meetings with the Contractors General Foremen making sure
their awareness of workmanship requirements. - Supervising Mockup
preparations to ensure quality/workmanship is maintained. - Continuous
monitoring of the level of workmanship, spotting sources of defects and
creating preventive actions to avoid recurrence. - Reviewing the
Contractors prepared Snag List, reviewed by the Supervision Consultant
and provide necessary feedback. - The job holder keeps the QA Sr.
Manager - Construction and the Developments Senior Project Manager
informed of ongoing relevant activities, developments and potential
problems on a regular but informal basis.
Job requirement
-BSc.
in Civil/Architectural Engineering. - 5+ years of construction
experience with 3+ years as Quality Control Engineer as a
Contractor/Consultant/PMC. - Basic knowledge of aspects of construction
trades (Concrete, Architecture, Electromechanical and Civil). -
Awareness of most quality procedures. - Excellent communication,
organizational, and reporting skills are required. - An ability to
thoroughly understand and follow plans and specifications in the
construction of project. - Foresight to predict quality related problems
before they develop. - Flexible, well organized, detail oriented and
multi-tasked. - Previous experience in speaking to small groups, foremen
and skilled labours.
