About this job
1. To greet and receive guests at the entrance courteously and in
a friendly manner. 2. Asks the guests for their preference whether
they would like to be seated in the smoking area or non-smoking area.
3. Makes sure that the table is set for the correct number of persons
in the party before seating them and pulls out the chair for the ladies.
4. If no tables are available in the coffee shop, requests guests to be
seated in the lobby area while one becomes available.
5. If no clean/set tables are available, helps the station waiter/captain
to prepare the table and never seats the guest on a dirty table.
6. Answers telephones courteously following telephone answering
procedure of the hotel. 7. Takes reservations according to the
instructions of the coffee shop manager.
