Job Title : Network Engineer
Narrative descriptions :
Responsibilities for network design and documentation. Ability to setup and install servers and workstations. Familiarity with LAN-to-HOST connectivity, File Systems, Network Configurations and Networking Protocols , i.e. TCP/IP, IPX, SNA, NetBEUI. Understanding of routers, dial-up networking, PPP, DNS and Network Security. Responsible for Creating and Implementation Microsoft Network and Microsoft Solutions Like Active Directory , Exchange Server and ISA Server.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. B.Sc. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent
2. 5+ years experience in Managing LAN/WAN and Network Configurations .
3. Perform Network design and documentation.
4. Proven experience in network Peripherals IBM network equipments
5. Prepare Plan for Implementing Active Directory Solution for New Sites.
6. Prepare Plan for Upgrading Active Directory to Newest Versions.
7. Prepare Plan and Manage Exchange Servers.
8. Prepare Plan for Upgrading Exchange Servers to newest versions.
9. Perform setup and installation of network servers, hubs, routers and other networking devices.
10. Perform network administration and management of file servers and print server devices.
11. Able to isolate and troubleshoot network problems.
12. Implement network security and monitor network performance.
13. Perform periodic server backup.
14. Network cabling for new network setup/sites as required.
15. Setup Network Server OS such Windows NT, Novell Netware, OS/2 Warp. Maintain and administer, create and manage users, install application software.
16. Schedule and perform server backup on a regular basis.
17. Monitor and manage network resources.
18. Setup and configure workstations for Novell/Windows NT file servers and print access.
19. Setup and configure internet access, LAN/Dial-up connections.
20. Setup and configure SNA gateways, HTTP/FTP/DNS/DHCP servers.
21. Maintenance and configuration of the networking devices. Conduct troubleshooting whenever required, to ensure maximum network availability.
22. Provide technical support for LAN/WAN and HOST communications.
23. Assist and support users to access LAN Mainframe applications.
24. Maintain and organize IP and Mainframe addresses assigned to users.
25. Test and evaluate new technologies, which maybe useful to PAAET's connected environment.
26. Prepare tenders and participate in evaluation and follow up all related issues with purchasing dept, auditing section , CTC, and SAB.
27. Willing to travel and work abroad
