Job title : System Analyst
Narrative description :
Reviews, analyzes, and modifies Application systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. May be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Writes manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures. Requires a Diploma degree in a related area and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must have a working knowledge of relational databases , client-server concepts and internet applications systems services. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Duties & responsibilities:
1. B.Sc. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent
2. 10+ years experience information technology and 5 years experience in system analysis and design.
3. High proficiency in Arabic and English languages with excellent writing skills in both languages.
4. Computer system design and development of system functional and quality testing.
5. Evaluation of existing systems and metties & applications and packages.
6. Analysis of work environment with intent to modify hardware /software plans to meet varying working conditions.
7. Re-engineering and enhancements of existing systems with intent to improving the system effectiveness by developing and considering alternatives.
8. Leading and supervising development teams.
9. Extensive user/client interface.
10. Prepare work tasks and plans.
11. Analyzing and documenting the system information requirements.
12. Analyzing and documenting system data and its functions.
13. Designing the system and its interfaces.
14. Finalizing the system requirements & design with the users.
15. Designing the databases and computer system.
16. Preparing the code specifications.
17. Supervising the programmers.
18. Supporting programmers using PAAET mainframe and PC LAN environments including CSP, DB2 & CICS.
19. Follow-up of methodologies in the development process plan.
20. Conduct and document tests of the system.
21. Prepare the system documentation.
22. Supervise system implementation including user training.
23. Support the local staff in improving their skills and expertise.
24. Do other assignments related to systems development as needed or requested.
25. Prepare tenders and participate in evaluation and follow up all related issues with purchasing dept, auditing section, CTC, and SAB.
26. Willing to travel and work abroad
