Job Description
• Work with Architects and System Analysts to understand technical and business needs. • Design, develop, unit test and integrate Message Broker flows. • Work with QA Teams to fix code level defects. • Work on deployment of Message Broker flows across different environments. (Dev, QA, Performance, Stage, Production and Production Fix). • Create MQ infrastructure designs and work with MQ team for implementing designs. • Provide production support. • Work across multiple projects, allocate time appropriately as needed and meet project deadlines.
Job Qualifications
• Good understanding of messaging concepts as they relate to IBM Websphere MQ • Strong experience in design, development and deploying applications using IBM WebSphere Message Broker, IBM Websphere MQSeries, • Experience in developing applications in J2EE or Java in Message Broker. • Experience in Relational Database Management Systems such as Oracle and DB2. • Hands-on experience in Message Broker Toolkit, ESQL and MRM. • Experience in XML, XML Schemas. • Use common WMB administrative interfaces, including the WMB Toolkit, WMB Explorer, and the command-line interface. • Initial installation and subsequent maintenance tasks, environment configuration, and routine administration tasks such as backup and recovery of the environment. • WMB requirements planning, problem determination and resolution, performance monitoring and tuning, and techniques for extending the capabilities of WMB. • Expert with configuration Publish/subscribe model and the Java Message Service (JMS) transport protocol and web services. • Perform essential configuration and administrative tasks for the WMB environment, such as: • Configuring the installed Message Broker environment by using the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit, WebSphere Message Broker Explorer, and command-line interfaces • Creating and configuring a broker . • Ensuring the efficient operation of a broker • Backing up and restoring the WebSphere Message Broker environment. • Configuring security parameters. • Using tracing and debugging tools for problem determination and resolution • Expert with administering WMB web services and security, and extending the base functionality of WMB by implementing user-defined extensions and SupportPacs. • Experience in design and implementation using best practices/design patterns as relate to IBM WebSphere MQ and WMB. • Experience in designing solution for high availability and having strong understanding of MQ clustering. • Use diagnostics to determine problems within an MQ cluster. • WebSphere MQ /WMB certification will be a plus.
