Job Title: Shift Manager:
JOB PURPOSE
To fully manage a Production Shift at the refinery to achieve the desired production levels & quality standards at targeted labour costs whilst implementing operating efficiencies.
Job Description:
- Reporting to Production Manager.
- Achieve the desired, saleable production targets and product range to meet market requirements.
- In collaboration with other departments, contributes to the development of plant modifications and new plant design in order to improve efficiency.
- To establish, develop & maintain an effective operating shift, ensuring a smooth running and efficient 'team' operation.
- To assume responsibility for all site departments outside normal day work hours, ensuring their smooth, efficient operation and achievement of targets.
- Review and improve technical performance, in order to minimise energy, water, chemical, materials and sugar loss costs.
- To minimize sugar losses across the operation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical engineering. Alternatively, may be experienced individual with 12 years refinery experience, including five years in a supervisory / management role
- Good verbal & written English
- Good analysis & planning skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft)
