Responsibilities:
- Manage growth and expansion of the Twitter cluster
- Work with operations and engineering groups to develop capacity models for new and existing applications
- Prioritize and manage data center population and expansion
- Perform cost and requirements analysis for current and future projects
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable knowledge of common scaling pitfalls and solutions
- Ability to identify and present scaling problems and solutions
- 8+ years working in fast-growth, large-scale unix-based environment
- Proven experience managing data center and systems capacity
- Experience planning and building large-scale compute clusters
- Excellent communication skills
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Creativity
