Come be one of the first commercial and product counsel in Twitter's growing legal team! You'll work on a diverse range of agreements and create an entirely new set of business relationships and rules. You'll work with nearly every group at the company and at every level. You'll help set the culture and approach of the legal department and be an important part of our
very small company.
We're looking for an experienced attorney who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with broad responsibility. You need to bring legal smarts, business sense and a good personality because you'll be dealing with challenging legal issues and helping to shape our business strategy.
Ideally, you've negotiated and drafted a wide range of agreements in the internet, new media and/or mobile industries and have a strong entrepreneurial bent.
Responsibilities
- Negotiating, drafting and reviewing licensing, intellectual property, technology and partnership agreements; creating form agreements and improving deal workflow; and, whatever else comes up.
- Identifying and resolving legal issues relating to a set of Twitter products.
- At least four years (though more, even much more, is welcome) of excellent in-house and/or law firm transactional experience
- Industry knowledge and experience in one or more of internet, new media and mobile industries
- Demonstrated sound business and legal judgment
- Entrepreneurial mindset: flexible, self-starting and hard-working
- Comfortable working in a company experiencing rapid growth
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- JD, good academic record
