Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced person to fill the role as the WE CCG Controller. The newly formed Consumer Channel Group (CCG) is designed to drive sales and share for Windows PCs, Windows Phones, Xbox, and Office through our consumer channels and brings together the Retail, OEM, Distribution and Communication Sector channel teams into one organization. The CCG organization will be the single point of accountability for Sales and Marketing to Consumers.
By integrating these channel teams, we are able to drive scale and momentum for cool devices designed by our OEM partners that distributors want to promote, retailers want to stock, mobile operators want to market, and consumers want to buy! In WE this is a multibillion business in and continue to grow as we expand the Xbox 360 and Windows platform market and ecosystem.
Essential Job Functions
The CCG Finance Director position is a unique opportunity to have an immediate impact on creating, building and expanding our CCG business in a challenging and exciting market place. The CCG Finance Director will bring business acumen, creativity, sound financial judgment, business partnering skills as well as strong operational skills to the CCG leadership team. In the first year the focus will be on landing the CCG processes and P&L in the WE subsidiaries and establish the long term economic vision for the CCG organization. The Finance Director is a key leadership position both within the Western Europe Finance team and the CCG team and is expected to be a key contributor to the success of CCG. The role is a people manager position and part of the CCG leadership team.
The position will manage the full CCG P&L and especially focus on:
• Strategic planning (sets and shares a vision which is driving business growth)
Drive revenue growth by proactive end-to-end P&L management and facilitate & support new products/services as they are defined and come to market.
Assess marketing investment opportunities including revenue adjustment and trade-offs to maximize returns
• Owner of the WE CCG Long Range Plan / economic engine - identify markets for new growth
• Business operations (in conjunction with business operations manager drive for streamlining processes, establish efficient ROB (Rhythm Of the Business).
• Oversee the integration of CCG in the subsidiaries and build the CCG Finance community
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in financial and business positions
• Bachelors’ degree or equivalent. MBA strongly preferred
• Consumer experience is highly desired
• Experience in Microsoft Finance and Subsidiary operations is highly desired
• Strong Business acumen required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player must have ability to manage cross group and cross country boundaries
• Experience with business processes and systems should include monthly and quarterly closing, planning, forecasting
• Experience in working in matrix organizations with emphasis on communicating and decision making with demonstrated ability to work under pressure
